Quality

For generations, Peddinghaus has defined itself exclusively through exceptionally good tool quality.
It is not uncommon for our tools to be passed on and lived on.
They are in demand worldwide.
Especially in a market with a strong international focus on imports, we always see our future based on the successes and experience of the past – by using the best steels, combining traditional manufacturing processes with state-of-the-art knowledge and machinery and relying exclusively on certified processes.
This enables us to achieve the consistent quality that our global customer base has rightly come to expect over many years.

Manufactory

The finished tool is only as good as the production.
In our production facilities, we continue to combine irreplaceable traditions and the specialist knowledge our employees have acquired over decades with state-of-the-art production equipment.
These are used exactly where they are needed.
This is how we define progress.
Our long-standing, excellently trained skilled workers and engineers make the difference.
They stand for the unique quality of our products.

Material

Saving on materials?
We save on that.
Instead, we have relied for generations and will continue to do so in the future on trusted steel suppliers that we have known and recognized for many years.
What’s more, we have thoroughly tested all the steels that we process in advance.
Our R&D department based in France specializes in testing new materials thoroughly before they are used in production.
This means that we are also one step ahead when it comes to the use of materials.

Design

The design of our tools is one of the most exciting tasks at Peddinghaus. This is because we constantly set ourselves the challenge of retaining the basic characteristics of the tool, but constantly developing them visually and ergonomically – in order to further improve quality and performance. To achieve this, we work with renowned industrial designers who help us to constantly redefine the modern, functional and performance-oriented tool. Because we love our tools. We want the user to see that. And experience it anew every day.

Ergonomics

The ergonomically perfectly designed tool that makes your work easier – this is always a challenge for our designers. Because just looking good is not enough for us: the design must have a direct impact on ergonomics. And the following applies: the tool must function so safely that it puts as little strain on your body as possible during work. By fitting comfortably in your hand, transmitting your force perfectly and being so well made that you are protected from injury. Self-cushioning, recoilless or vibration-minimized hammer nailers with an ergonomically perfect angle of attack or the 3-component layered handles for pliers: These are examples of how our premium tools are defined by their ergonomics. And of course we make sure that they look good too.

The Novalia Group was founded in France in 1920.
Since then, the company has developed rapidly and is now a European market leader for hand tools.

The group unites four traditional brands: MOB, Mondelin, Leborgne and Peddinghaus, all of which are known for their high-quality hand tools.

Novalia: A European force
The Novalia Group relies on a strong presence in Europe to ensure top quality and efficiency.
The locations include NOVALIA Deutschland GmbH ehem.
Peddinghaus in Schwelm, Germany, and NOVALIA Romania Brasov, Romania.
In France, there are three important production sites, including the historic MOB site in Le-Chambon-Feugerolles and other sites responsible for the production of Mondelin and Leborgne.
These European sites enable the Novalia Group to benefit from the centuries-old know-how of its employees and the proven tradition of craftsmanship.
The brands have managed to continuously adapt and innovate in order to maintain the highest quality standards and remain competitive.

Locations

Outside France (Le Chambon-Feugerolles, Ambierle, La Rochette and Arvillard), the NOVALIA Group operates further European production sites in Wuppertal (Germany) and Brasov (Romania).

The European locations serve in particular to control both the very high quality and the production costs and to enable short production routes. The Europe-wide production and distribution network also ensures direct access to the most important markets and the ability to export worldwide.
